New Features / Improvements
- Insert plugin on a specific slot via /p[1-16] command
- Added a way to remove an inserted fx plugin on a specific slot (e.g. /p1 clear)
- Added preference option for automatically opening the just inserted effect editor via the /p command (This is because it ignores the Cubase preference that normally enables this)
- Added a “Force Remap” button in the settings > data tab for manually triggering a remapping of the commands and plugins.
Bugfixes
- Fixed a bug which causes the update popup to show up even though you are on the most recent version
- Fixed an issue where a MIDI port could not be found after port numbering changed due to system MIDI device reordering
- optimized the settings saving mechanics
- Reworked and improved the start at Startup mechanic
- Fixed an issue where unchecking “Start at startup” would sometimes not remove the entry from startup apps
- Fixed an issue where the startup setting could get out of sync with the actual system entry (e.g. after reinstalling or moving the app). The entry is now reconciled automatically on every launch
- When KeyCommander is reinstalled or moved to a new location, the startup shortcut is now updated automatically and a notification is shown

New Features
- Cubase/Nuendo 15+ only: Plugin insert. With the /p command you can now search your vst fx plugins and insert them in the first available insert slot of the selected track.
- Settings window layout improvements; tab navigation for clearer seperation.
- Quick Search Hotkeys: assign a hotkey that opens KeyCommander with the search field already filled in. Perfect for if you want to quickly search in a specific catagory, your most used commands or your vst plugins.
- MacOS Intel support (still in Beta, needs more testing)
Bugfixes & Improvements
- The search results now show exact command name matches higher in the list and other small improvements to the search matching.
- Added changelog link to update dialog.
- Fixed F-keys and other non-printable keys like home, end or arrow keys to also work as hotkeys.
- Fixed bug on MacOS with the global hotkey not working when KeyCommander is the focussed app.
- Fixed a bug on Windows where assigning overlapping hotkeys (e.g. Ctrl+J and Ctrl+Shift+J) would cause the longer combo to never trigger.
- Improved midi input detection driver script. (partial matching)
- It will now retry up to five times to connect with your virtual midi port before giving an error message. (on Windows)
- KC Macros and repeat commands can now be retriggered using the retrigger last used command hotkey.
- KC Macros can now be repeated using the repeat slash command (/r).
- Improved error message handling
Version 1.0.1 – Minor Bug Fixes
- Fixed SSL certificate verification bug on MacOS
- Repeat command (/r) no longer swallows spaces typed in the search term after the count
- Fixed an issue where resetting the position of the main window, would cause the window height to change as well
